Opening Day is finally here. And this year is going to be one of the most interesting seasons in quite a while. Optimism abounds, thanks in part to new manager Gabe Kapler. The Prince of Positivity seems to be a fantastic fit for this young team.It certainly won't be boring watching the likes of Rhys Hoskins, JP Crawford, Jorge Alfaro, and future Philly demigod Scott Kingery rake and mash this summer. And people are going to love Kingery. The comparisons to Chase Utley will come early and often.
All that matters is that baseball is back. And after the winter of nor'easters here in Philly-ish, it couldn't have come at a better time. Let's get it on.
